WHERE IS LIGHT AND MOTION FILMS BASED?

We are based in Orlando, Florida but we often travel to our other home to Paris, France. Our films so far have taken us from South Florida to Savannah, Georgia, but we’re happy to go anywhere!

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE COST OF YOUR WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY SERVICES?

Accepted Answer

We offer packages with different levels of coverage and additions such as a Cinematic Portrait Session, or coverage of your rehearsal dinner that you can add on to personalize your film even more.

The best thing to do is head over to our contact page and tell us about yourselves and your wedding. We will be happy to send you a brochure with the package details and all of the information you need.

DO YOU OFFER PHOTOGRAPHY AS WELL?

We specialize in cinematography and therefore we do not offer photography services. However, we have worked with some very talented photographers and would be happy to help you find one!

DO YOU USE VOICE OVER?

Accepted Answer

We certainly can! Audio can make such a difference and add so much more emotion to your film.

If you have vows and/or love letters, we like to pre record these during preparation. We will put a lapel microphone on the bride (don't worry, it's not visible), the groom and the officiant, as well as gathering the sound from the soundboard to make sure we gather as much audio as possible.

Not everything makes it into your film, but we try to include as much as possible to add that extra personalized touch.

DO YOU HAVE A DRONE?

Yes we do and we love to include it, but it's important to know that we cannot ever guarantee flight due to many factors such as weather conditions, flight zones and restrictions but we do everything we can to get you that amazing drone footage!

CAN WE PICK THE MUSIC?

Music is extremely important to our creative process which is why we spend countless hours searching for the perfect licensed soundtrack that meets our high standards and represents your wedding day perfectly.

However, you can always let us know if you have certain preferences for a specific type of music or genre and we will try to find something that fits your vision.

WHO DOES THE EDITING?

We do! We take immense pride in not just getting beautiful shots, but in the actual creation of your film. Everything from the music, the shots, the rhythm and the way we tell your story is so very personal to us because we are completely invested in creating a magical film that reflects your love story perfectly and that we can be proud of.

WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND?

We take immense pride in editing and creating completely unique cinematic story telling experiences for each film and for this, it's very important to dedicate the proper time to your film.

We cannot give an exact turnaround time, but we try our best to get your teaser to you a few weeks after your wedding, and depending on the season, it can take 90 days, sometimes less, sometimes more, for your full wedding film.

We limit the number of weddings we do per year so that we can provide the necessary time to dedicate to your film. Rest assured that we will always keep you updated on the progress of your wedding video.

WHAT IS RAW FOOTAGE?

RAW footage is exactly what it sounds like, a collection of many separate clips instead of one continuous video, of everything that was shot on the day, un-edited, sometimes slow motion, sometimes normal speed, sometimes unstable and shaky footage with separate audio files.

The audio will be the on-camera audio and not the higher quality audio from external devices such as microphones.

We do however include your unedited full ceremony with the full video and audio captured from our second unmanned camera so that you can watch and experience this from beginning to end.

We put all of this on an external hard drive and mail it to you after your wedding film is delivered.

WHAT IS YOUR CINEMATIC PORTRAIT SESSION?

This is a 2 hour session offered as an addition to your film, sort of like an engagement shoot but with video!

We can do this either before or after the wedding at a location of your choosing and we use this to blend it with footage from your wedding day.

This combination of footage really gives your wedding film that extra personalized, cinematic and emotional touch that really makes your wedding film stand out.

ARE YOU AVAILABLE FOR OUR REHEARSAL DINNER?

We would love to be a part of your rehearsal dinner to capture those special moments where you welcome your loved ones for the first time and it is a great opportunity for us to capture all of the extra special moments like the speeches from your friends and family!

We offer a 3 hour Rehearsal Dinner as an addition and we use this footage to combine it with the footage of your wedding day for that extra cinematic layer.

HOW DO WE RECEIVE OUR FILM?

We will send you a password protected link where only you and those you choose to share your password with can download your teaser and film.
